Becoming A Pharmacist

While this site is about the world of the pharmacy technician. Some folks want to take it a step further and become a pharmacist.

If you are one of them then this post will catch your eye.

Recently, I started another website focused exclusively on becoming a pharmacist. Essentially, I show you - for nothing - how to improve your chances of getting into, surviving and graduating from pharmacy school.

Maybe more importantly I have some pretty candid articles on there about another choice: and that is SHOULD you become a pharmacist? Is it right for you and the skill set that you bring to the table?

In short, too many students think that because pharmacist's make good money that it's the field for them.

First of all. Define what you think 'good' is. And I will admit, by almost any definition pharmacy money is good.

But, and this is a biggy, money ain't everything. It can't buy you happiness or love. It can ease the pain - no doubt. But, there are more important things in life.

Secondly, as the song laments...times, they are a changing.

And pharmacy ain't no different.

So despite the good money I take a very 'go for the jugular' approach to counseling future pharmacists (and techs) about future career moves.

Now, I don't want to get into a long, drawn-out conversation about it here because it ain't the time or place. I mean, that's why I built THAT site. So, if you are so inclined why don't you hop on over there and see what you think.
